Weylan Deaver

Weylan Deaver was born in Fort Worth, Texas. Following high school, he attended the Southwest School of Bible Studies in Austin, graduating in 1988. At Southwest, he was privileged to study formally under both his father (Mac Deaver) and grandfather (Roy C. Deaver), who were then fulltime instructors. After three semesters at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, he transferred to Freed-Hardeman University, graduating summa cum laude in 1991 with a Bachelor’s degree in Bible (with a minor in Philosophy), and a member of the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society. After beginning graduate studies at Liberty University, he went on to earn a Master’s degree in Biblical Studies from the Bear Valley Bible Institute of Denver. In 1989 he and Cheri (Cain) married. They have two sons and two daughters (all homeschooled) and work with the Sherman Drive church in Denton, Texas. Weylan also serves on the distance learning faculty of Tennessee Bible College.
