Weylan Deaver was born in Fort Worth, Texas, the son and grandson of gospel preachers. Following high school, he graduated from the Southwest School of Bible Studies in Austin. After three semesters at Texas State University, he transferred to Freed-Hardeman University, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Bible (with a minor in Philosophy), and a member of the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society. After beginning graduate studies at Liberty University, he earned a Master’s degree in Biblical Studies from the Bear Valley Bible Institute of Denver. Weylan preaches and serves as one of the elders for the Sherman Drive church in Denton, Texas. He also serves as online faculty for Tennessee Bible College.
