With God, a single woman or man
Can move the world — I also can!
And Christ is present with two or three
Who in his name in prayer agree.
The power is not in the crowded mass,
Nor does it lie in a privileged class;
Not even prayer can give control,
But God who makes and saves the soul.
Upon the earth, to do his will,
The Spirit seeks a soul to fill;
God sets the broken world aright,
By simple folk — ’tis his delight.
